about my book:
Feng Shui Your Mind

mental health - living your best life

peacefull Depression, stress, exhaustion, depletion. These are words that I hear in my practice every day. We live in an environment that is increasingly full of physical and emotional toxins. You may feel overwhelmed and fatigued, or just generally out of sorts. But acupuncture can help you feel better.

Your body simply cannot function at an optimal level if your mind is not clear, calm, and present. When you are under a great deal of stress, for instance, your body undergoes a series of physical changes. Your heart rate increases, as does your breathing rate and muscle tension. If stress is chronic, these responses can induce long-term health problems, such as heart disease, strokes, asthma, and irritable bowel syndrome. Similarly, ongoing depression—be it mild, moderate, or severe—can have an equally profound impact on your physical health.

People use all sorts of coping mechanisms—few of which are healthy—to deal with stress and depression. Cigarettes, alcohol, and comfort-eating may provide a quick fix, but do profound long-term harm to the state of both the body and the mind. Anti-anxiety medications and anti-depressants can help people in the immediate sense, but are not always the best long-term solutions.

Acupuncture combats depression and stress naturally. A calm mind is a great relief if you suffer from stress and anxiety—and acupuncture has been shown to calm the mind and relieve tension. It also has an energizing, revitalizing effect—a great support if you are suffering from depression or fatigue. In addition to generating feelings of well-being and vitality, acupuncture can lift your spirits, and help you see new opportunities for growth and development.

Acupuncture just makes people feel better. It can help you, too.

feng shui your mind! Going with the flow to attract success without stress.

As a health care practitioner, I see so many patients who suffer from anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, dissatisfaction, loneliness and despair. So many of them experience turmoil and confusion about how to create a lasting feeling of fulfillment. All of these symptoms are direct manifestations of their lack of connection to the meaning and purpose of their lives.

People have an amazing amount of energy within them, yearning to be loosed, but they lack the ability to express this energy. Sometimes, all we need is a little bit of direction to enable us to live with enthusiasm and passion. But, lacking that much-needed direction, we find this energy stagnating in our bodies and minds, creating disease and despair.

Feng-Shui Your Mind, which I co-authored with my friend Jill Lebeau, MFT, helps you unlock ways to channel your energy into the power to create your dreams. In our book, we connect you to your innate power by drawing on the ancient wisdom derived from the five elements of Chinese Medicine. This tradition is ancient—but incredibly in tune with the new science of quantum physics. When woven together, they have an extraordinary ability to transform your consciousness and help you manifest your dreams.

Keep an eye out for Feng-Shui Your Mind, coming to bookstores soon.
