Aimee Ruiz, M.S., L.Ac., FABORM
Women’s health is my passion and calling. In particular, I love working with clients for their conception, pregnancy, birth and postpartum care.
My training as a doula and my advanced post-graduate fertility, prenatal and birth education have laid the foundation for my integrative work. My training with renowned midwife Raven Lang has inspired my bustling prenatal practice. I have also worked extensively with Claudia Citkovitz, L.Ac., in labor and delivery acupuncture in New York and attended births in both hospital and home environments.
Chinese medicine’s thoughtful view of emotions and the mind, body, spirit connection has always resonated deeply with me. Before discovering Chinese medicine, I studied and worked in the fields of psychology and social work.
I am a nationally certified and California-licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. I received my Master’s of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. When I’m not working, I’m either in a dance class, hiking around the Bay Area, watching an independent film or eating some amazing Bay Area cuisine.

Hope and empowerment are what inspires me the most about this medicine, as well as the remarkable things we can accomplish using these tools.
I am passionate about supporting women in fertility, pregnancy, labor preparation, and postnatal recovery. I also love working with patients to achieve balance including better sleep, digestion, and mood, as well as treating pain and injury, hormonal imbalance, and chronic disease.
I am a Licensed Acupuncturist with a Master's of Science from AIMC Berkeley, which included externships at San Francisco's Homeless Prenatal Program, and Neurology at the 1st TCM Teaching Hospital at Tianjin, China.
I am a Bay Area native and love dance fitness, local hikes, cooking, a good read, and my family. My own experience throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum has been a wonderful learning experience that I love bringing to my work.
