East Bay Acupuncture is here to walk alongside you on your fertility journey. Our clients and their partners come to our practice at all different stages of their family-building process. Whether you have just begun to think about conceiving or you’ve been trying for many years, we have worked with someone just like you. Dealing with infertility can be a rollercoaster of information and emotions. We offer gentle, grounded support and the practical tools that you will need to move through this difficult time with serenity and ease. 

Our practice supports all family constellations and provides a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to bring your struggles and triumphs. Our clients include single moms by choice, queer and trans families, people with PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, unexplained infertility, failed IUI/IVF cycles, recurrent pregnancy loss, advanced maternal age, male factor infertility, abnormal semen analysis, and more. 

Fertility Planning

We guide you in getting to know your own body, cycle and fertility patterns. Our work together will include helping you to create and implement a fertility plan by providing you with education, nutrition and lifestyle counseling all the while supporting you with acupuncture and Chinese medicine. 

You may or may not have fertility challenges. Many of our clients come to us because they understand the benefits of acupuncture on their reproductive health and even without a diagnosis, want to enhance their fertility with Chinese medicine.
 

Trying to Conceive

Our fertility plan follows you through the whole process. Having difficulty conceiving can be a huge burden to bear alone. We can guide you along your journey. You may have a diagnosis or have unexplained infertility. You may not have seen a doctor yet and are worried after a period of trying. 

Whether you are trying to conceive naturally, doing at home insemination or are about to step into the reproductive science world, we can support you in reaching your family goals. 

IVF and IUI Support

We use an integrative approach to complement your IVF/IUI plan and provide you with holistic and compassionate evidenced based care to increase your chances of a positive outcome. Receiving weekly acupuncture for at least 3 months leading up to your procedures will provide you with the best preparation for your IUI or IVF. 

In addition to office visits, we offer onsite pre and post embryo transfer acupuncture. Studies show that receiving acupuncture immediately before and after your transfer increases your rate of success. If our schedule doesn’t allow for us to be present, we will try our best to find someone for you.

Sperm Health

Whether you’ve been given a diagnosis of male factor infertility or you want to optimize your chances for conception, we love to work with you to support conception. It takes two to make a baby and when both partners receive treatment, success rates often increase. If you have general health concerns, are taking medications, or have a pre-existing condition, it is important that you are in the best health possible to try to conceive.

Some reasons why male partners and known sperm donors get acupuncture for fertility: low sperm count, low morphology, varicocele, vasectomy reversal, stress, and overwork. We guide our clients on diet and lifestyle changes to improve their health for the health of their baby.
